SHOULD I UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10 ?

Microsoft made available Windows 10 to their users on 29 July ,2015 .People having old versions of Windows are confused whether to upgrade it to windows 10 or not ? is it a good update ? Today I am going to clear the confusion for you whether you should upgrade it or not ? 

Should Upgrade to Windows 10

Following are the reasons for you to upgrade to windows 10 depending upon your operating system you are currently using and the features you want to include or not include that was available on previous versions of Windows .

Let's discuss some of the reason you should upgrade to Windows 10.

Free Upgrade 

If you are currently on full versions on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 then the upgrade is completely free for you and this upgrade is available for a limited time .you have only one year to upgrade it to Windows 10 for free ,after one year the upgrade will not be available .So the free upgrade to Windows 10 ( full version )  is one of the reason you should upgrade to Windows 10.

Enhanced Driver Support 

The second reason you should upgrade to windows 10 is the improved driver support for any new hardware in your computer.It will natively support any new hardware that will come in the future .For example if you have an old version of windows like XP and Vista and you buy a new hardware from the market then the new hardware you bought might not work with these old operating systems because now these old operating systems are not supported by Microsoft any more.

Start Menu 

If you don't like the start menu in windows 8 ,if you think it is a full screen than you should upgrade to Windows 10 because it has a better Start Menu than any previous version of the Windows .

Cortana

Windows 10 has unique new feature Cortana the digital assistant basically like Siri .The Cortana is for all devices having windows 10 on it .You can ask anything from the Cortana like you asked from Siri .Its one of the new feature you should upgrade for . 

Gaming Features 

Xbox One

if you are a true gamer of Xbox One than there is big reason for you to upgrade to windows 10 because Xbox one and Windows 10 are really integrated together. You can stream your Xbox games live to your Windows 10 devices .One of the good news for gamers is that if you are on Xbox One you can now with people with their Windows 10 devices and similarly you play on your windows 10 device with people with their Xbox One.There is also an Xbox app on Windows 10 which provides so much to the Xbox gamers.The Xbox gamers can now record their Xbox game play with the Xbox app on Windows and much more .

DirectX 12

Directx12 comes pre installed on Windows 10 you dont need to download it .DirectX 12 interact with your Graphics card and helps in improving the performance of  your Graphics Programs like games even if you have an old graphic card .It increase the performance by 30% .If you are a true gamer than this is the feature you should be looking for . 

Virtual Desktop 

The other feature that users might enjoy is the virtual desktop feature on Windows 10 which let users to create different desktops and you can also arrange different Icons on it . For example you can create a work desktop and you can bring it when you are working .Similarly you can have a home desktop which you can bring when you want .It provides so much ease to the users.

Should not Upgrade to Windows 10 

For some of you the reasons of not upgrading might be a big deal and you should not upgrade to Windows 10 .There are less reasons to not upgrade .

Old Computer

The first reason to not upgrade is old computer.If you have a computer that has Windows Vista or Windows Xp then I suggest you to not upgrade because your performance may be a little slow or it may not work be like that you want it to.If you have Windows XP and Windows Vista on your Computer then you are not going to get a free upgrade .First you should upgrade your computer in order to upgrade the operating system .

Old Interface 

If you like the old interface of Windows 7 and Windows 8 then you should stick to it and you should not upgrade it to Windows 10 .

Windows Media Center 

Windows 10 is not having Windows Media Center which alot of people are complaining about.It may be a big for some people but they can use third party software instead of Windows Media Center .
